Southside ReLeaf invites you to join us for our Spreading Roots Urban Forest Walking series this August! Enjoy morning movement in nature, learn about the current progress and future projects of a new Southside Richmond park, and feel the significant temperature relief from the day's rising temperature under the canopy. At each walk, we will provide you with a different infographic about the benefits of urban greening, which is part of the free Spreading Roots toolkit.
When are the walks?
Join us every Wednesday in August for a walk under the canopy.

Where are the walks?
Using your GPS, navigate to 2913 Ernest Rd. Parking will be available on the street in a residential neighborhood. Please do not block driveways or mailboxes. Once parked, you’ll walk down the grassy path with the “No Parking” sign and follow the path to the right. Please note that the path leading to the park may be muddy and slippery if it recently rained.
What should I bring?
Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Please bring a refillable water bottle. Dress for the weather and use sun protection.
Do I need to sign up?
