Introducing the Richmond Volunteer Market — a new kind of “market” where local organizations connect with Richmonders who are looking for meaningful ways to support their community.
Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Gallery5 for an afternoon of connection, discovery, and community building. Instead of shopping for goods, attendees can “shop” for volunteer opportunities that align with their interests, skills, and passions.
Whether you’re new to Richmond, looking to get more involved, or already an active volunteer, this event is designed to help you find ways to give back. Meet local organizations doing impactful work across the region and sign up for opportunities on the spot.
Enjoy a welcoming, festival-like atmosphere with a food truck, full bar, and live local music while you explore.
This inaugural event is hosted by Siobhan Cleary, Andre Johnson, Christina Dick, Selam Hailu, and Josh Epperson, and will feature the following organizations:
Girls For A Change
Better Housing Coalition
Southside ReLeaf
Happily Natural Day
RVA Repair Cafe
Beyond Boundaries
RVA Community Fridges
ReEstablish Richmond
RVA Light
Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project
Come out, connect with your community, and find your next way to make an impact!
