Tree Walk at Crooked Branch Ravine Park - "Urban Forests vs Invasive Plants"

  • Crooked Branch Ravine Park 4037 Crutchfield Street Richmond, VA, 23225 United States (map)

Crooked Branch Ravine Park is a small urban forest along Reedy Creek.  It’s beautiful in some places, but it has significant issues with invasive plants. Join the Reedy Creek Coalition for a walk to discuss how invasive plants arrive, spread, and impact local ecology. You’ll also learn about their efforts to save the forest, do a little tree ID along the way, and visit the old oak. The goal is to spend a little time at the end removing English ivy from the ground. Gloves will be provided.
